GRANTS of up to $2500 are now available to Queensland farmers – Succession Planning

March 28, 2017

Queensland primary producers now have access to Farm Management Grants to assist farming families in accessing succession planning advice.

The grants are available to primary producers, or their children or relatives, who are obtaining advice about transferring an interest in a primary production enterprise owned by the primary producer.

Eligible applicants will receive a rebate of 50 per cent of fees paid for professional advice provided after 23 March 2017, limited to $2500 per financial year. The grant may be applied for before or after the advice is given, but will not be paid until the applicant has paid for the advice.

Coupled with the increased stamp duty concessions, these grants will help reduce the costs of succession planning.
The scheme closes 30 June 2019. To see if you are eligible see the guidelines at this link
