Based in our Brisbane office, Eugenie (Genie) joins Fox and Thomas as a Solicitor within the property and renewables team working closely with Principal, Nick Knowlman.
While Genie is originally from the Sunshine Coast, she completed her studies remotely and began her legal career in Roma where she developed a genuine appreciation and passion for regional and rural clients and communities.
Genie has previous experience advising on rural property, complex land access and mining & energy disputes which she is looking forward to applying to assist clients with carbon and renewable energy projects as Fox and Thomas expand our renewable energy services offering.

How long have you worked at Fox and Thomas and what does your job entail?
I joined Fox and Thomas at the start of 2026 as a solicitor supporting the property and renewable team across various renewable energy, carbon, rural and commercial property matters.
If you weren’t at Fox and Thomas, what would you be doing?
Marine Biologist.
What’s the best advice you could give your clients?
Engage your lawyer early and tell them everything. We cannot provide you a full advice without the full facts.
What are the downfalls of being a lawyer?
There are never enough hours in the day or people thinking lawyers don’t have a sense of humour or personality.
What brings you the most joy in your job?
The clients!

What is something that people might not know about you?
