Jemma is a paralegal in the Fox and Thomas commercial team. Jemma joined the Fox and Thomas team at the end of 2024, after relocating to Goondiwindi from Melbourne.
Jemma assists the commercial team lawyers with estate planning, succession planning and business structuring matters, providing administrative support and liaising with clients.
Before joining the firm, she worked for Court Services Victoria and gained valuable knowledge of Victorian criminal and civil law proceedings, the importance of time efficiency and organisational skills.
Outside of work Jemma is enjoying getting to know her new local community and exploring the many charming towns in our region.

How long have you worked at Fox and Thomas and what does your job entail? I started at Fox and Thomas in October 2024. I assist the commercial team lawyers with day-to-day tasks, liaising with clients and administration.
If you weren’t at Fox and Thomas, what would you be doing? I would be an interior designer.
What’s the best advice you could give your clients? Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek clarification on anything you don’t quite understand, we really are here to help!
What are the downfalls of being a paralegal? Being indoors on a sunny day.
What brings you the most joy in your job? Being able to assist our clients and efficiently resolve their matters.
If you could invite three people for dinner, dead or alive who would they be and why? I would love to sit down for a meal with David Attenborough to hear tales of his animal encounters and remarkable conservation work.

Reece Witherspoon for her sense of humour and to hear her ideas for new film/ Tv show adaptations.
What is something that people might not know about you? I studied German in high school and university.
