Laura is a law graduate at Fox and Thomas, working closely with Kay Rhodes in the firm’s Estate Disputes practice. She is a valued member of both the Commercial team and the Family Law and Estate Administration team, contributing across a broad range of matters with a well-rounded and practical approach.
Laura graduated from Deakin University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction). She is currently completing her Practical Legal Training through the College of Law, with expected completion in June 2026, as she works towards admission to legal practice.
Born and raised in Yetman, Laura has strong ties to regional communities. After gaining several years of experience in Melbourne-based law firms, she returned to the region in 2024 to work in the firm’s Goondiwindi office. She now resides in Brisbane, where she continues her work with Fox and Thomas in the firm’s Brisbane office.
Laura’s prior experience spans family law, disputes, and insolvency and restructuring, equipping her with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of complex legal issues. She has a particular interest in estate disputes, where she assists clients in navigating sensitive and often complex matters with professionalism and empathy.
Laura is committed to delivering thoughtful, client-focused outcomes and continues to build on her experience across the firm’s key practice areas.

How long have you worked at Fox and Thomas and what does your job entail? I have been working at Fox and Thomas since August 2024, assisting with estate dispute and commercial litigation matters.
If you weren’t at Fox and Thomas, what would you be doing? Probably working in the health and fitness industry in some capacity.
What’s the best advice you could give your clients? Talk to your lawyer first.
What are the downfalls of being a lawyer? Sometimes you have to deliver some hard truths and that can be tough.
What brings you the most joy in your job? Working together with a client and the team to resolve a complex matter.
If you could invite three people for dinner, dead or alive who would they be and why? Cleopatra, Claressa Shields and Meryl Streep.
What is something that people might not know about you? My idea of a good time is doing not much.
