Sixty Seconds with Lauren Gabriel

How long have you worked at Fox and Thomas and what does your job entail? I’ve been at Fox & Thomas since September 2024.  As a remote family lawyer, I support our Goondiwindi based family lawyers and their clients providing advice, file management, support and drafting.

If you weren’t at Fox and Thomas, what would you be doing? Probably something creative, like interior design.

What’s the best advice you could give your clients? This is just a stage in your life. It is really difficult right now, but you will get out the other side and be able to move on with your life.

What are the downfalls of being a lawyer? Being a family lawyer, no one you see generally does so because something good has happened. It’s usually at a really difficult and stressful time for them.

What brings you the most joy in your job? Being able to help people through that stressful time in their life and out the other side.

If you could invite three people for dinner, dead or alive who would they be and why? My late grandmothers and my sons, so that they could have a chance to meet.

What is something that people might not know about you? I completed my law degree externally whilst working at a law firm in Central Queensland. When I was admitted as a lawyer, I already had over 5 years of experience in the legal industry.
