Queensland First Home Owners’ Grant – Are you building or buying a new home?

Are you building or buying a new home? You may be eligible for the Queensland First Home Owners’ Grant.

The wait is over! The Queensland government has announced a boost to the First Home Owners’ Grant of $5,000 which will now be worth $20,000 towards the purchase of your new home. The $20,000 grant is only available for eligible transactions for 12 months up to and including 30 June 2017.

This grant is available for people who haven’t owned land before in Australia and are planning to build or buy a brand new home which is valued under $750,000.

Of course there are eligibility requirements which you must fulfil to receive the grant and also penalties may apply if you make a false declaration.
